The Chay are a North African people group of about one million native speakers. They’re known for being quiet, strong-minded rural farmers. Only a handful of believers exist among them, with no functioning church. Up until now, outreach among them has been very limited.
“After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, ;Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!'” (Rev 7:9-10)
All glory belongs to you, Lord! You are the one and only Savior of all those who believe in you from every people group throughout the world.
“… I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers…” (Rom 9:2-3)
Father, forgive us for how little we care for the unreached and the lost. May we, like the apostle Paul, increasingly pray for unreached groups like the Chay and proclaim the good news to them.
“For this I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations, and sing to your name.” (Psalm 18:49)
Thank the Lord for how he has rescued you and some Chay believers. May his praise go out to all the nations, including the vast majority of Chay people who have never heard the good news.
“And other seeds fell into good soil and produced grain, growing up and increasing and yielding thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.” (Mark 4:8)
Father, prepare the hearts of many Chay so that their hearts will be fertile ground for your Word. Bear the fruit of faith and repentance for your glory. Raise up local and foreign believers to proclaim your Word to the Chay and establish churches among them.
