TRANSLATION WORK

Biblical resources in the local language(s) are not readily available to local believers. Currently there are a few key resources translated for them, but there is more work to be done.

PRAISE

“His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, . . .”  (2 Peter 1:3)

Father, we thank you that Your Word is sufficient.  You have given us all we need to live a life that is pleasing to You.  

CONFESSION

“. . .by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desires.”  (1 Peter 1:4)

Lord, we confess to you that even though we have what we need to live a life that is pleasing to you, we don’t always pursue Your promises and Your gifts of knowledge in Your word like we should.  

THANKS

“For this reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.” (1 Peter 1:5-1)

God, thank you that Your word changes lives, that because of what You have given to us in Your word our lives can be changed.  Thank you that You have raised up men and women who study your word faithfully and who write books that explore the depths of your promises.  Thank you that we have the Spirit dwelling in us who continuously makes us more and more like you through Your word. 

REQUEST

“Sanctify them in truth, Your word is truth.” (John 17:17)

Father, we ask that your people in this country will be sanctified by Your word.  May they have resources in their language that they can learn from.  Lord, we ask for more people to step up to translate works into the local language and that the members of local fellowships would have the desire to read them alongside Your word and be sanctified by Your truth.
