North Africans need to hear the gospel and be gathered into healthy churches. But these churches also need to start reaching out beyond their borders. It will be a glorious day when North African churches send out gospel workers to other people groups in the region and throughout the world.
“And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Gen 12:2–3)
Lord, you are God of all the nations; you are blessing all nations with the faith of Abraham. That blessing echoes back in praise to your name. You will be worshiped by your multi-lingual people for all eternity.
“… I make it my ambition to preach the gospel, not where Christ has already been named, lest I build on someone else’s foundation, but as it is written, “Those who have never been told of him will see, and those who have never heard will understand.” (Rom 15:20-21)
Forgive us, Lord, for neglecting the lost. We must grow and mature, but part of that growth is proclaiming your Word to the nations. May the spread of the gospel not stop with us.
“Timothy, my fellow worker, greets you; so do Lucius and Jason and Sosipater, my kinsmen.” (Rom 16:21)
Thank you, Lord, for the many co-workers you gave Paul. Thank you for the co-workers that exist in North Africa, both expatriate and national. May that partnership expand and include many North African believers and churches as well.
“Paul came also to Derbe and to Lystra. A disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a Jewish woman who was a believer, but his father was a Greek. He was well spoken of by the brothers at Lystra and Iconium.” (Acts 16:1–2)
Father, just as Timothy heard the gospel through Paul and then worked with him to proclaim it elsewhere, may many North Africans hear the good news and then proclaim it to other people groups. Raise up apostolic witnesses for your name in North Africa. May churches identify, train, commission and support them so that the gospel continues to spread from them to other unreached groups as well.
Use these resources to help pray specifically each day.
