Andrew is a North African man from a people group called the Chay. He has largely rejected his religion, but doesn’t know what to believe. He has heard the gospel many times and has read portions of the Bible, including seeing some gospel videos in Chay. Andrew has also met other North African believers, but has not yet professed faith in Christ.
“Praise the LORD, all nations! Extol him, all peoples! For great is his steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD!” (Ps 117:1–2)
Lord, you deserve praise from all nations. You are not a provincial god. You are God over all the earth, the creator of the universe, who rules over his people with covenant faithfulness forever. All praise to you!
“Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, greets you, always struggling on your behalf in his prayers, that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God.” (Col 4:12)
Lord, we so often lose heart in praying for your church. Forgive us for our apathy and weak flesh. Strengthen us to wrestle in prayer for the salvation of the lost and the maturity of your church.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead…” (1 Pet 1:3)
Thank you, Lord, for giving us new life in Christ! You have caused us to be born again and have given us living, sure hope in Jesus. Please do that for many North Africans as well.
“Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.” (Rom 10:1)
Father, have mercy on Andrew. Please open up his eyes to the truth, beauty and glory of the gospel, and save him from his sins. May he not quit reading your word; let it sink into his heart and bear the fruit of repentance and faith. Have mercy on him and his family.
